How come Obama doesn't get an asterisk if First Black President?

Obama is NOT a descendant of Afro-American slaves. "Black" is a cultural label, and it is supposed to carry with it the history and heritage of the survivors of American slavery, including their struggle to thrive amidst fear and oppression. Don't Afro-Americans realize they've "outsourced" for their candidate?
