Why did she come to me for advice about her new boyfriend?

Like I don't get it why come and tell me about the new guy your dating. As if I give a flying rats s if your so ready to say you love him. I kept my cool gave the advice and got the hell out of there. I just don't get why she came to me for help on what to get him for v day. What is her deal? Why am I so pissy about it?
